Obi Tawil — better known by his stage name Damaged Goods — has made a career of stretching the borders of musical sanity. As one half of Miami production duo Caligula, he’s a fixture in the city’s nightlife, hopping seamlessly between genres and venues from downtown dance spots to mega South Beach clubs. His signature high‑energy sets have left their stamp on rooms across the country and placed him at the epicenter of Miami’s eclectic club scene.
Damaged Goods first broke through in 2008 as the resident DJ for the Overthrow crew’s infamous Black Sunday parties, where he helped cultivate Miami’s indie scene with off‑kilter themes and cinematic antics. Those nights caught the attention of legendary venues like Mansion, Louis, Mokai and Set, and soon international sponsorship from Smirnoff Vodka followed. In the years since he’s shared the stage with heavyweights like Deadmau5, M.I.A., Steve Angello, Laidback Luke and Steve Aoki while keeping his own sets unpredictable.
In 2011 he added “producer” to his résumé with the Sydney Blu collaboration “Devastating”; the follow‑up single “Giving It Up” quickly climbed into Beatport’s Top 10 Progressive chart. His inventive remixes of Gotye’s “Somebody That I Used to Know” and a collaboration with Christian Falero on “Glad You Came” reached the top of the Hype Machine charts, cementing his status as a tastemaker.
Now a respected A&R and label manager for Tchami’s Confession label, Damaged Goods continues to champion forward‑thinking house and bass music while headlining some of the biggest festivals and nightclubs around. Whether he’s pushing underground sounds or spinning chart‑topping hits, his sets are defined by flawless mixing and raw energy — traits that promise to turn E11EVEN into a rave on March 8. It’s a rare chance to catch one of Miami’s own in the city’s most iconic 24/7 nightclub, and admission is complimentary when you sign up for the guest list.
